There are times when we find great deals on mobile phones on the internet (Craigslist, Facebook marketplace), but often we can not trust if what they really sell is real. For example, lately we are seeing several mobile phone scams like the Samsung Galaxy S6, perfectly designed as in the case of South Koreans, but totally fake. Once in hand and with the ability to test the hardware, installing any application to measure performance is checked how hundreds of times lower than expected.
In the other article, we showed you How to Easily Spot a Fake or Clone iPhone (any model or version)
Obviously the easiest way to avoid these fake devices is to buy it from the legitimate places. Despite this, sometimes people who have been buying on the internet for several years have faced one of these clones. It is true that sometimes these clones differ “easily” from the real devices by the way it looks. The materials of some of the parts that compose it or the resolution of the screen.
Now, if all this fails and we find no problem, how can we know if the phone we have bought or are testing is not a fake? For this, there are applications that, in a very simple way, give us a very clear result. There are apps that analyze certain variables and settings of the phone to, once and for all, discern whether it is a genuine phone or not.
To do this, the first thing we must do is install the AnTuTu Officer application in which we will be urged to enter a web page from another device and scan the QR code that appears on the web. Once the code is scanned and the process begins a few minutes, a screen will appear in which we will be informed if the device is authentic or not. The most normal, of course, is that a green circle appears with the name of our device inside. What if it is a clone? AnTuTu Officer will tell us that this is a clone through the message “High Copy”, a red circle, and a message that is usually warned that the device does not meet most of the specifications that would be integrated into the real device.
In this simple way you can clarify your doubts. Obviously there are other methods but may be somewhat more complicated for the average users as it is the case of installing an application that reads and shows us all the values of the phone or tablet: processor, RAM, connectivity devices … In the event that some of them do not correspond with the real data, we can need to suspect.
