There are various types of administrative tools which are present in the Start screen in Windows 8 like: Performance monitor, System configuration, Computer management, System information, Event viewer, Task scheduler, ODBC data sources (64-bit), ODBC data sources (32-bit), Services, Resource monitor, Disk cleanup, Windows Firewall with advanced security, Windows Powershell ISE, Windows Powershell (x86), Windows Powershell ISE (x86), Component services, Defragment and optimize drives, iSCSI initiator, and Windows memory diagnostic. However, these administrative tools are hidden by default.
To show administrative tools in Start screen in Windows 8, follow the below given steps:
1) Go to: Start screen
2) Then, go to: Charms bar or Press Windows key + C
3) In Charms bar, go to: Settings –> Tiles
4) Under “Show Administrative Tools”, click on the button to make it “Yes”.
After that, go to the Start Screen and you will see all the administrative tools are displayed:
