Architecture and working of a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT)

An evacuated glass tube, CRT has an electron gun which fires electron beams to the screen. The electron beam is then focused to the horizontal deflection system and the vertical deflection system. Here, the point at which electron beam will hit the screen is determined. The screen is coated with Phosphor, so when the electron beams hit the screen it gives off light.
