Antialised Ray tracing is done for removing the aliasing effect in the regular ray tracing methods. Aliasing means encountering any irregularities while doing the Ray tracing method.
Super Sampling: In this method, to find the overall pixel intensity, we take an average of all pixel rays intersecting the pixel. After taking the average, each intensity is compared to see if they are approximately equal. If they are not then the pixel is divided in to subpixels and gain the same procedure is applied.
Adaptive Sampling: In this method multiple samples of intensities are taken for a region. Then, we take an average of the sub pixel intensities to see if they are approximately equal. If they are not, then subpixels are divided unless the intensities are approximately equal.
